About Long Division

Long division is a method of dividing large numbers by breaking down the division into a series of easier steps.

Steps:

1. Divide the first digit(s) of the dividend by the divisor
2. Write the result above the dividend
3. Multiply the divisor by the result and write it below
4. Subtract the result from the dividend
5. Bring down the next digit and repeat until all digits are used
