How it works

The projection of vector A onto vector B is calculated using the formula:

proj_BA = (A·B / |B|²) × B

Where:

• A·B is the dot product of vectors A and B
• |B|² is the squared magnitude of vector B
• B is the target vector

The projection length is calculated as:

|proj_BA| = |A·B| / |B|
