About FENa
FENa helps differentiate between prerenal azotemia and acute tubular necrosis in acute kidney injury.
FENa Formula:
FENa = (Urine Na × Serum Cr) / (Serum Na × Urine Cr) × 100
Interpretation:
- Prerenal: <1%
- Indeterminate: 1-2%
- Intrinsic: >2%
