About Body Types
Body types, or somatotypes, are a classification system developed by William Sheldon in the 1940s. The three main body types are:
Ectomorph
Naturally thin, long limbs, difficulty gaining weight
Mesomorph
Athletic build, naturally muscular, responds well to exercise
Endomorph
Naturally larger frame, stores fat easily, wider hips
Note: Most people are a combination of these body types, and your body type can change over time with proper diet and exercise.
