Due Date Calculation: IVF due dates are calculated by adding 266 days (38 weeks) to the transfer date, then subtracting the age of the embryo at transfer. This accounts for the fact that pregnancy begins at conception, not at the last menstrual period.
Accuracy: Only about 5% of babies are born on their exact due date. Most babies are born within 2 weeks before or after the estimated due date.
