How to Calculate Crescent Area

The area of a crescent (lune) is calculated using the following steps:

1. Calculate the area of the larger circle: A₁ = πR²
2. Calculate the area of the smaller circle: A₂ = πr²
3. Calculate the area of intersection: Aᵢ = f(R, r, d)
4. Crescent Area = A₁ - A₂ - Aᵢ
