About Long Addition

Long addition is a method of adding numbers by writing them vertically and adding each column from right to left, carrying over any excess to the next column.

Steps:

1. Write the numbers vertically, aligning them by their rightmost digits
2. Add the digits in each column from right to left
3. If the sum in any column is 10 or greater, write down the last digit and carry over the rest to the next column
4. Continue until all columns are added
