About Relatively Prime Numbers
Two numbers are relatively prime (coprime) if their greatest common divisor (GCD) is 1. In other words, they share no common factors other than 1.
For numbers a and b, they are coprime if gcd(a,b) = 1
Properties:
- Any two consecutive integers are relatively prime
- Any two prime numbers are relatively prime
- If a number is relatively prime to two other numbers, it is relatively prime to their product
- The GCD of two numbers is the largest number that divides both of them
