About Semicircles
A semicircle is half of a circle, formed by cutting a circle along its diameter. It has several interesting properties:
- The area is exactly half of the full circle's area
- The perimeter includes both the curved arc and the diameter
- The centroid (center of mass) is located at (0, 4r/3π) from the diameter
- It has one line of symmetry (the diameter)
