- Rule of 18: Each fret is positioned at 1/18th of the remaining string length
- Scale Length: Distance from nut to bridge saddle
- Fret Spacing: Calculated using the twelfth root of 2 (≈17.817)
- String Spacing: Gradual taper from nut to bridge
- Intonation: Compensation for string stretch and thickness
